Now I don’t know why main stream media in Pakistan putting efforts in things which we don’t want to see. From NRO to Memogate, from NICL to railways, we the people see no hope of justice from these impotent parliamentary or judicial committees but still breaking news and red slides and coming after every hour with nothing ‘breaking’ in it.
Better choice we have is to watch frustrated feministic dramas like ‘Humsafa’ and ‘Maat’ and in-between enjoy enlighten moderated freshup bubble ads, must hai!!. Not suitable for children but you can see the worst vulgarity on primetime entertainment news when kids are watching TV sitting next to you.
With such dismantling going on in our country, one can only wish for some miracle happening that can break this demoralizing atmosphere and keep the system from going off-track even though for some of us, we don’t have a track at all.
Talk about our beloved opinion makers and so called analyst, well .. they are still debating on concepts like “Two Nation Theory”, Pakistan being an ideological or secular state or “Kis nay kis ko thapper mara” type stuff and in return these people are polluting minds of our innocent people while getting paid domestically as well as internationally from hidden sources. Gotchya!
Everyone is right and everyone is wrong, it’s just a matter of timing and … that’s all!
Armed forces on the other end are living their miserable lives in oblivion without an inch of an idea, what to do. They are foreseeing an international confrontation of US and Iran in coming months, they are foreseeing threats of civil war in Pakistan, domestic terrorism, defending Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and so much more. Seems like army’s plate is full just that they don’t have a plate at the moment and they are trashing everywhere.
With such reality, one can only dream of having a dream which could be opposite to this brutality but that is not a solution at all. For more than 60 years, our nation’s been sold to these dreams from different ideologue and with every new term there is a new dream, a new vision, a need for change. It’s just that no one has ever come up with the definition of this CHANGE because the only change we know is when we asked “yaar 100 Rs ka change hai” that’s it.
For times to come I am not predicting but foreseeing that we are getting ready yet again for this status quo (for the sake of presenting my argument I would like to refer to it as status queue) which is going straight up to this nation’s a** and after witnessing the results of this month senate and by-elections results it’s confirm that we are not only preparing but literally conniving ourselves that we will enjoy this status queue for another term. As a nation we are at the verge of making this as part of our faith that we don’t have another choice.
Regarding this hope thing, when I try to think otherwise, it triggers my brain cells, generate heat within my body and my body temperature raises up and then I realizes that I am in the middle of load shedding hour, so it’s better to switch on UPS, wait an hour and watch TV afterwards. For me this is too much of work and I am not tough enough.
When the going gets tough, we submit to one who is tougher than us
Oh wow! .. Sheikh Rasheed and Javeed Hashmi on same show …
